Support SONGFEST 2017: an Appalachian Music Experience
Sunday, November 12th, beginning at 3 pm
The Gregory Center at Milligan College.

This annual event is a fundraiser for FAMILY PROMISE OF GREATER JOHNSON CITY.   Among the musical guests will be Carson Peters & Iron Mountain, and WAPC’s own Ed Snodderly.  Free admission and donations are welcome.  We hope that you will turn out to support this important community organization and enjoy a lot of wonderful music.

WAPC Neighborhood Green and Clean Day, Saturday, November 18th, 10 am – noon.

As a member of this community for 125 years, Watauga Avenue Presbyterian Church is sponsoring a neighborhood GREEN AND CLEAN DAY.  Volunteers will distribute door hangers on Sunday afternoon, November 12th (after lunch) inviting neighbors to participate.  On Saturday, November 18th, we will walk the neighborhood picking up trash.  The area covered would be on Fairview, Myrtle and Watauga avenues from Oak Street (at the expressway) to Lester Harris Road (just past Appalachian Funeral Home).  The City of Johnson City is providing the supplies and we are looking for volunteers.   The group will meet in the church parking lot between 9:30-10 am.    A hotdog lunch will follow for those participating in the cleanup.
Help us to keep our neighborhood looking green and clean!
